Why video is the way to reach your audience

It’s no surprise that digital marketing is becoming a huge way to reach people. This is a primary method of communication—and with how influential social media and the digital world can be, it’s never been more important to ensure that your message is getting out there in authentic way, as well as showcasing the personality of your business.

When I’m working with my clients on their messaging, I work on finding an angle that will stand out, but allow their following to learn more about them and feel connected on a different level. With COVID-19 not going anywhere anytime soon, digital marketing is THE way businesses will reach their audience(s) and keep them engaged. Businesses need to be transparent to build relationships and create understanding. This is where videography is an important medium to use when producing engaging content.

When you post a video to your social media channels, viewers retain 95% of a message when they watch it through video. Of course, you want a balance of photos and videos, but when you want to share valuable information, video has proven itself to be far and ahead than text-only posts. And this is where I come in!

Since the restriction lift in June, I have been working with more businesses on creating videos for their social media platforms because of the decrease in face-to-face interaction. For example—you know that celebrity that you love to follow? How they’re always posting videos of their interviews, their favorite Netflix binge-worthy shows, or their silly, stay-at-home antics? This type of content showcases more of their personality, and you, as a fan, feel more connected to them, therefore engaging more with their content! The same logic can be applied to small business social media platforms and an approach to messaging.

I know it’s not easy to put yourself on camera and talk to your audience, but it builds those long-lasting relationships. Plus, I’ll be with you every step of the way—I’m here to help! If you are looking to add content like this to your marketing strategy, let’s talk!
