Weddings In 2020

This year has been extremely stressful for many— Maneuvering our normal lives due the COVID-19 pandemic and adjusting to the “new normal.”

As a business that captures a lot of weddings, this summer has been extremely different. A lot of my weddings have been postponed to next year or they chose to do a small ceremony where they didn’t require services. I’ve been able to keep busy with other projects for clients this summer, keeping me pleasantly busy, but I miss the atmosphere of a wedding! As weird as it is to say, my first wedding of the season was on October 16, which was also my birthday, so I think it was meant to be ;).

The couple decided, last minute, to hire a videographer because they plan on having a big reception next year with family and friends. During which, they will show the video to allow people to feel as though they were there. This is so understandable, as many weddings are being postponed and/or party size is being re-evaluated due to COVID-19. I was beyond excited to capture a fall wedding—the colors have been so vibrant!  We had a limited amount of time to capture footage, but with efficient planning, I was able to capture so many beautiful and intimate moments for the couple to put into their video.

For all of you couples out there who may feel like there’s not enough time to hire a videographer, there still is! Hiring an experienced videographer who will be able to capture your day beautifully and tell your story in a way you may not have even imagined.

I understand planning a wedding in 2020 has probably been stressful and, at times, discouraging. I, along with the other wedding industry professionals, are here to support you and capture all the memories of your day! COVID-19 can’t stop us there. ;)
